The Peony Society Publishes “Investing in exclusive peony cultivars: the Scholten brothers”

The Peony Society (https://www.peonysociety.eu) has published an article “Investing in exclusive peony cultivars: the Scholten brothers”.

“We walk towards Maximus. A double white with flowers so large that Scholten once laid a cabbage next to it to take a picture.”

The article explains how Joshua and Jeremy have grown their peony business from the mid-90s up to now using innovative processes and technologies. Their growth process that results in peonies as big as the size of a cabbage, or where standard crates can only be filled upto 50% capacity due to the large size of peonies. The article further goes into their hybridization process, sowing, growing seeds and unique Peony naming scheme that refers to the Roman era which makes it easy to recognize Peony Shop Holland peonies in the marketplace.
