How do you package the peonies before exporting them?

Because our peonies grow on a heavy (nutrition rich) soil, the clay needs to be washed off the peony roots extremely carefully. This is done in a 3 step process. Now the roots are nice and clean they need to be packaged.

From there the peony roots will be carefully put in Dutch sides export crates with the size of 24 x 16 x 10 inch (Lenght x Width x Height). Depending on the size of the roots some 30 to 50 peony roots are being packaged. Now the boxed get stacked on a pallet and further packaged for exporting.

The most exclusive roots that move in small quantities get packaged exclusively easy to distribute standard sized cardboard boxes before being exported.
